Curran_Mrs. Rosalie8

Mrs. Curran has had the privilege of teaching in Catholic school for eleven years and feels blessed to have spent four of those years at St Bede School. Mrs. Curran was also able to share in the exciting, new experience of creating a brand new school, St Katharine Drexel.  She received her bachelors’ degree from Penn State University and holds K through 12, Pennsylvania state certification in Health and Physical Education. She is currently in the process of pursuing a Master’s degree as a Reading Specialist.  Reading is the key to success and Mrs. Curran believes every child should have the opportunity for learning through many genres of books in the classroom. Because children learn best when they feel safe and secure, she strives to provide this environment in her classroom.  She strives to provide learning opportunities which will challenge and interest all students of St Katharine Drexel School.  Mrs. Curran believes that Catholic education provides students with a  moral compass of how they should live their lives. With faith, students learn there is a greater cause than themselves and learn to be accountable for their actions as well as to each other.  She believes faith can provide the student with lifelong ability to deal with all different types of situations that they will encounter through their lives.  In her free time, Mrs. Curran spends time with her husband and four children. Walking through old towns and cities is one of her hobbies as well as running 5Ks.  FYI:  Mrs. Curran played soccer at Penn State University and still loves being out on the field. Click here to access the 5A Class Website
