Meet the D'Alessio Family
Welcomed in the 2018-2019 School Year
For the D’Alessio family, stability was the driving force behind their decision to transfer schools. “We wanted a Cathoic school that our son could attend for years to come.” When Mr. and Mrs. D’Alessio felt there was a possibility their son’s school could close, they began asking around for advice for a new school. “A few of our relatives belong to SKD and have had nothing but good things to say about the school.” Mrs. D’Alessio told us.
When they arrived on the first day of school, their son, Paul, and the rest of the students were greeted by our school’s band playing on the front steps of the church – a performance that has become a tradition at SKD. Paul had no problem making friends with his classmates. “When I initially went to visit the school with my son Paul, the warm faculty welcomed us. He has adjusted very well to this new school and I feel in my heart we made the best decision for him and his Catholic education.”
When asked what stood out about SKD, Mrs. D’Alessio had this to say: “Since my family’s transfer to SKD, I have been extremely impressed by the dedication of the faculty and staff. The teachers are so easily accessible and committed to providing the kids with the best Catholic education.”
As a 2018 National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence, Mrs. D’Alessio found that St. Katharine Drexel offers “an educational experience that combines Catholic faith and teaching with academic excellence.” – And that’s what’s most important.
We’re happy that we could provide a stable, welcoming, and academically challenging environment for Paul and his family. We’re confident that you’ll find something to love too! So confident, in fact, that we’re offering you $1,500 to give us a try! Students transferring to SKD from a public, private non-Catholic, or charter school entering into grades 1-8 are eligible to receive our Tuition Transfer Grant. Through this program, we’ll give you a $1,000 grant to start and a $500 grant when you stay a second year.
If you’re thinking about transferring, request info, schedule a tour, and meet with our Advancement Director to get your questions answered today. Don’t forget, you can schedule a shadow day for your student too by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
